New Delhi: President Draupadi Murmu and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar cast their votes in Delhi during the sixth phase of Lok Sabha elections. Both of them cast their vote at the polling booth in Delhi in the morning. The Vice President exercised his right of consent with his wife.
” Vote is a sign of authority and responsibility. India is the largest democracy in the world. Vibrant, active and effective methods are implemented here.”- Jagdeep Dhankar said.
The polling started at seven o’clock this morning. Voting is going on today in eight states, including seven constituencies in Delhi. 889 candidates are seeking election in the sixth phase. Apart from Delhi, polling will be held in the states of Haryana, Bihar, Odisha, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Jharkhand. Voting is till 6 pm.
