Hanoi : 14 people were killed and three others were injured in a fire at an apartment complex in central Hanoi, Vietnam. The accident occurred at dawn local time on Friday in Cao Se, a densely populated district of the Vietnamese capital.
Due to the fire, smoke, deadly poisons and poisonous gases came out from the building and the people trapped inside were rescued by breaking the windows, according to the rescuers. The fire brigade rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control. Hanoi police stated that they are investigating the reason behind the fire.
Last September, 56 people, including three children, died in a fire in a Hanoi apartment block in Vietnam. In September 2022, a fire at a karaoke bar near Ho Chi Minh City, the country’s leading commercial hub, killed 32 people and injured 17 others.
