New Delhi ⦿ Adv. Dr. P. Krishnadas, the Chairman and Managing Trustee of Nehru Group of Institutions, has been appointed as the Honorary Trade Commissioner of Mauritius to India (South India). This prestigious appointment was made by the Mauritius Government and the Indian Government, following a recommendation by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and the Indian Economic Trade Organization (IETO) and the Indian African Trade Council (IATC). Dr. Krishnadas will serve a term of five years, during which he will serve with diplomatic immunity.
The appointment aims to enhance trade, commerce, cooperation, and bilateral relations between India and Mauritius. The official Appointment Letter was presented by Honorable His Excellency Prof. Dr. Kheswar Jankee, the Mauritius Ambassador to Russia, in a ceremony that marked this significant achievement.
The event was attended by several distinguished guests, including His Excellency Mr. Mookheswar Chonee Gosk, Ambassador and former minister, Dr. Asif Iqbal, President of IETO, Mr. Wall Kashvi, Vice President of IETO, Dr. P. Krishnakumar, CEO and Secretary of Nehru Group of Institutions, His Holiness Swamiji Harinarayanan Ji, Mr. Suresh Kumar, P.R.O (Global) of NGI (Nehru Group of Institutions), and Mr. Roshan Mathew, Media Head of NGI, among other dignitaries.
This appointment signifies a new chapter in the strengthening of Indo-Mauritian ties and underscores Dr. Krishnadas’s pivotal role in fostering international trade and diplomatic relations.
