Guruvayur: In connection with taking necessary precautions to avoid accidents that may occur due to rainstorm, the Guruvayur Municipality held a meeting of the people’s representatives and officials of various departments at the Municipality Library Hall in Guruvayur.
In the meeting presided over by Municipal Vice-Chairperson Anishmashanoj, Standing Committee Chairman A.M. Shafir, Shailaja Sudhan, AS Manoj, Bindu Ajith Kumar, Councilor KP Udayan, Municipal Secretary Abhilash Kumar H, Taluk Office Representative NM Hussain, Guruvayur SHO Premanandan, Clean City Manager KS Lakshmanan and Superent Sunil participated and spoke.
The Guruvayur Municipality is not facing any major problems in the area, but if the rains intensify, the system will be prepared to deal with the situation that may arise due to it.
Members of the public should be careful not to remove dangerous trees or branches on private property. and in the common areas of the municipality Departments concerned with cutting and removing endangered trees in PWD areas Action will be taken.
In case of water intrusion or damage to any of the houses, necessary arrangements have been made to relocate them immediately.
Streams where water has been flowing for long time, Do not fill with soil. If such trends are noticed, strict action will be taken.
The Secretary of Guruvayur Municipality informed that if there is any possibility of disaster in the area of Guruvayur Municipali, it should be reported to the control room of the Municipality.
