Guruvayur: A symbolic offereing of an elephant ceremony was held at the Guruvayur temple. The ceremony was held after Shiveli on Wednesday morning. The head of the temple, PS Madhusudhan Namboothiri, was the Chief Karmika.
Rama P Menon, resident of Tulsi Divine Flats in Guruvayoor, was te person who had done the offering. Ten lakhs of rupees were paid to the Devaswom for this purpose. Devaswom Kompan was played by Vinayakan.
Brahmashree Mallissery Parameswaran Namboothiripad, Temple Uralan and Devaswom Governing Body Member, Devaswom Governing Body Members KP Viswanathan, VG Ravindran, Administrator KP Vinayan, Jeevadhanam Deputy Administrator KS Mayadevi, Temple DA Pramod Kalarikal, Assistant Manager (Jeevadhanam) E Sundara Raj, Heritage Heirs Madempat Chandrasekharan Nambiar and Kandiyur Pattat Vasudevan Nambisan were present on the occasion. Rama P Menon’s family members and devotees participated in the function.
