Guruvayur Municipality Celebrates “Farmer’s Day” on Chingam first

Guruvayur. Under the joint auspices of Guruvayur Municipality, Guruvayur, Pookode and Thaikkad Krishi Bhavan, “Farmers’ Day” was held. Guruvayur MLA.A N K Akbar inaugurated it at Guruvayur Municipality Secular Hall at 9 am.
Municipal Chairperson M Krishnadas presided. The best farmers of the municipality were felicitated in the ceremony. Farmers from eight regions were selected. Along with this, the Chairman also inaugurated the marketing of Samriddhi Coconut Oil produced by Pookode Eco shop. Aneeshma Shanoj, vice chairperson of the municipal council, welcomed. Permanent committee chairpersons A M Shefir, Shailaja Sudhan, Bindu Ajith kumar, A Sayinathan, Councilor KP Udayan and Thaikkad Agriculture Officer VC Rajina gave their greetings. Retired Agriculture Joint Director Mini ES Nalla conducted an awareness class on good food and organic farming.Guruvayur Agriculture Field Officer Sashindra S also said thanks.
