Guruvayur:The Guruvayur Perumthatta Aghoramurthy Shiva temple hosted a Pratyaksha Ganapatihomam on the final Friday of the Karkitaka month. The chief administrator, Tantri Chennas Krishnan Namboothiripad, led the ceremony, which commenced at 5 AM.
In the presence of numerous devotees, Tantri Namboothiripad performed a special puja and Pratyakshaganapathihavanam, offering flowers to Gajaveeran Peethambaran, the elephant at Guruvayoorappa. Temple Melshanthi Mutumana Sreedharan Namboothiri and Guruvayur Temple Kizhshanthi Keezhetam Raman Namboothiri, along with Sudev Namboothiri, Moothedam Anandan Namboothiri, and Mulamangalam Shyam Krishnan Namboothiri, served as parikarmmis, preparing the materials for the Ganapati Havanam from 4 AM.
Tantri Chennas Krishnan Namboothiripad offered the Ganapatihavana nivedyams to Guruvayurappa’s Gajaveera Peethambaran as devotees chanted loudly under the guidance of the Perumthatta Matru Samithi, visualizing Maha Ganapati.
Kongattil Aravindaksha Menon, the president of the Perumthatta Siva Temple Management Committee, presided over the function along with secretary Ramakrishnan Ilayat and committee members Thamarath Sivadasan, Usha Achyuthan, Alakal Jayaram, and R. Parameswaran.
