Guruvayoor: The world-renowned Guruvayoor Devaswom Chembai Sangeetholsavam will be held from November 27 to December 11. Online registration for participation in the music festival closes on August 31 at 5 PM. The Devaswom has received 3515 online applications.
Out of a maximum of 2400 artists was been allowed to participate in the fifteen-day Chembai Sangeetholsavam. However, this year, 3515 applications have been received. This year’s Golden Jubilee Chembai Music Festival will be held entirely in the Melpathur auditorium situated on the east nada of the guruvayur temple. In previous years, due to online registration, the participation of musicians from other states was limited, however only about 2500 will be granted the opportunity to perform.
“This provides an opportunity for us to showcase approximately 2500 musical performances during the Chembai Sangeetholsavam,” said Sub-Committee members Prof. Vaikam Venugopal, Thiruviza Sivanandan, Chembai Suresh, Dr. Guruvayur K. Manikandan, N. Hari, Vidyadharan Master, Anayadi Prasad, and others.
