Guruvayur: India’s recent operation against terrorist bases in Pakistan is being viewed not as retaliation, but as upholding global justice, according to Union Minister Suresh Gopi. He stated that the action was aimed at curbing terrorism from a nation that consistently engages in hostile acts, and serves as a warning against future such actions. Mr. Gopi emphasized that the operation was part of a larger effort to definitively deter similar incidents in the future.
The minister also drew a parallel between the operation and the vibrant festival atmosphere of the Thrissur Pooram, suggesting that the operation protected India’s national pride. He further highlighted the loss of soldiers’ lives in locations like Pagalgam and underscored the need for a definitive end to this cycle of violence. He stressed that the recent strike aimed to achieve this goal. While not requiring an urgent presence in Delhi, the minister clarified that clear directives would be received from Delhi.
The Indian Army’s actions received strong support from the state, with Ramesh Chennithala highlighting the importance of national unity in confronting the terrorists. Mr. Chennithala emphasized that the operation was necessary to deter future occurrences and underscored its significance in bolstering national pride. He further asserted that India needs to stand as one in response to terrorism.
