Kerala Temples Receive Crucial Financial Aid; ₹3.09 Crore Disbursed

Guruvayur Devaswom will distribute financial assistance to temples in the northern region on May 12th in Mattanur. This marks the third phase of the temple financial aid initiative, aimed at supporting the restoration of Hindu temples and the renovation of Vedic schools. The distribution ceremony will take place at the Kailas Auditorium within the premises of the Mattanur Mahadeva Temple in Kannur. This significant event will see the financial aid for temples across Kasaragod, Wayanad, Kannur, and Kozhikode districts distributed.

The ceremony will commence at 10:00 AM and will be inaugurated by the Minister for Devaswom, Shri. V.N. Vasavan. The Chairman of the Devaswom Board, Dr. V.K. Vijayan, will preside over the event. The local MLA, Smt. K.K. Shailaja Teacher, will be the chief guest, while Shri. N. Shajith, Chairman of the Mattanur Municipality, will be the guest of honour. The ceremony will also be attended by Mattanur Municipality Councillor A. Madhusoodanan, Devaswom board members Brahmasri Mallisheri Parameeswaran Namboothirippad, Shri. C. Manoj, Shri. K.P. Viswanathan, Shri. Manoj B Nair, Devaswom Administrator K.P. Vinayan, and the Executive Officer of Mattanur Mahadeva Temple, Shri. Sajith. This distribution will provide financial support to 395 selected temples in the northern region, totaling ₹3.09 crore.

This significant financial aid initiative is set to benefit a large number of temples in the northern region of Kerala. The Guruvayur Devaswom’s commitment to supporting religious institutions through initiatives like this is commendable.
