Guruvayur: The Pallivetta, a key event during the ongoing temple festival at Thiruvenkidachalapadi Temple, saw Lord Krishna emerge from the temple in the evening after concluding ancillary rituals. Guruvayur Devaswom Board’s Kombann, Ananthanarayan, led the procession. The event was given credence by Panikkasery Santhosh Maarar, while Aneesh Nambeesan, Guruvayur Seethu, and Guruvayur Shanmukhan, served as assistants. The procession concluded, and the Pallivetta commenced at the lower temple precincts in the presence of the notable Guruvayur Temple Uralan, Mallissery Parameswaran Namboothirippad. The Pallivetta was conducted with traditional rites and announcement by the Vaaythari. The procession involved circumambulating the temple seven times, during which the devotees performed Ootta Pradishina, and the proceedings culminated with the Pallikkuruppo ceremony. The festival, inaugurated on May 2nd, will conclude with the descent of the flag, after the rituals of Yathra Bali, Grama Pradishinam, and Aarattu.
