Guruvayur: Devaswom Minister V N Vasavan will inaugurate the new development projects of Guruvayur Devaswom. A multi-specialty hospital is the most important from these. The hospital is being built on a two-acre land adjacent to the present Devaswom Hospital.
It is expected to cost 56 crores. Reliance Group owner Ambani has not paid for the construction of the hospital. There is no assurance yet. when he came to visit the temple, he had written a proposal and said that he would consider it, and that correspondence was going on. Guruvayoor Devaswom Chairman Dr VK Vijayan said that if the help is not received, the hospital will be constructed using the Devaswom funds.
Renovation of Kaustubham Guest House at a cost of Rs 13.3 crore, a building for the fire brigade at a cost of Rs 4.22 crore near the Devaswom Bachelors Quarters on the South Outer Ring Road, a comprehensive solid waste management project at Anakotta at a cost of Rs 2.09 crore, and 10 sheds for elephants at a cost of Rs 1.62 crore will be inaugurated on the 30th. The culmination of elephants’ palliative care will also take place on that day.
