Krishna and Gopikas from Guruvayoor for Thirupathi Brahmolsavam

Guruvayur: On Ashtami Rohini day, Guruvayoor’s renowned Radha-Krishna and Gopikas were invited to Tirupati Brahmotsavam on the special invitation of the Tirupati Devasam.

At Mammiyur temple, the Ashtami Rohini day was celebrated with various cultural performances, including Gopika dance, Uriyadi dance, Uriyadi Mela, and Thaalapoli. Tirupati Devasam officials were present at Guruvayur on this auspicious day, enjoying the Gopika dance and capturing it on video.
After discussions with the Tirupati Devasam Governing Body, the Devasam Board invited the celebration committee members of Guruvayur to participate in Brahmotsavam. The festival features celebrations from various states, and Guruvayur’s Gopika dance and Uriyadi will represent Kerala.
A placard reading “Kerala” will be prominently displayed. Coordinator V Achyuta kurup announced that a 150-member art team will depart from Guruvayur on October 5th.
Dance performances are scheduled for the 6th, 7th, and 8th days of Brahmolsavam. The team will be equipped with all necessary materials for the Uriyadi. Two days prior to the event, workers will be dispatched to Tirupati to prepare the temple premises by burying Urikal and hanging decorated Urikkudams.
