Sathya Sai Jayanti Celebrated in Guruvayur with World Record Splendor

Guruvayur: The 99th Jayanti celebration of Lord Sathya Sai Baba was inaugurated by Hon’ble Governor of Goa, Sreedharan Pillai, at the Guruvayur Sai Mandir.

The meeting, presided over by Trust Chairman Maunayogi Swami Harinarayanan, had Mathrubhumi Chairman P.V. Chandran as the chief guest. A world record-breaking song dedication titled Sayiravam, composed by poet Rafeeq Ahmed and set to music by Vijeesh Mani, was performed. This unique tribute featured 99 singers performing the song simultaneously across different studios, earning recognition from the World Record Union. The award announcement was made by the Union’s CEO, Christopher Taylor Craft. The song was officially released by Governor Sreedharan Pillai.

Renowned violinist Ganga Sasidharan presented a mesmerizing violin concert as part of the celebrations.

The event also featured a performance of the Radhamadhavam dance sculpture, led by Prasita Teacher and her team, as well as an Otan Thullal performance by Manalur Gopinath. Various service activities were inaugurated during the event, which concluded with a grand birthday celebration.

P.V. Chandran, who received the prestigious Kelapaji Award, was honored at the function. Special guests included Director Vijeesh Mani and Mauritius Trade Commissioner, Adv. Dr. P. Krishnadas. Trustees Sabitha Ranjit Satishkumar, V.P. Unnikrishnan, and Ramadas Alathi were also present.
