Guruvayur Temple Holds Crucial Civil Defence Mock Drill

Guruvayur: Following the directives of the Central Ministry of Home Affairs, a civil defence mock drill was conducted at Guruvayur Temple. The drill, a collaborative effort involving various government departments, took place at the temple’s southern entrance. A combined team of ex-servicemen, Guruvayur Temple Police, Fire Force, and Revenue department personnel organized and executed the mock exercise.

The drill commenced at 4 pm and received full cooperation from devotees. Various aspects of civil defence preparedness were assessed during the exercise. The drill was overseen by key personnel, including the Devaswom administrator, K.P. Vinayan, the Temple Station CI, Ajayakumar, the Temple D.E. Pramod Kalarikku, the Ex. Engineer M.K. Ashok Kumar, the H.S.M N. Rajeev, and the S.S. Subrahmanyam, along with other Devaswom staff members.

The civil defence mock drill at Guruvayur Temple, held under the aegis of the Devaswom Board, highlighted the preparedness and collaboration of various governmental departments. The event underscores the importance of proactive measures to ensure safety and security at religious sites like the Guruvayur Temple.
