New Delhi: Tata Motors to manufacture Jaguar Land Rover’s (JLR) Range Rover in India. The facility has been set up at the company’s Pune plant. This is the first time that JLR Range Rover cars are manufactured outside of Britain. Tata acquired Jaguar Land Rover in 2008.

Range Rover and Range Rover sports cars are mainly assembled in the country. Tata Sons Chairman N said that these cars will be delivered by the end of this month. Chandrasekaran said. Jaguar Land Rover is in high demand in the Indian market. Due to the confidence in the market, it was decided to expand the production of Land Rover to India. He also added that he is thankful for Chairman Emirates Ratan Tata’s decision to acquire Jaguar Land Rover.

All this time, Range Rovers were manufactured at JLR’s UK plant owned by Tata Motors. Shifting assembling to India will reduce the cost by 18-22 percent. With this range
