Kathmandu: Two schools built with financial assistance from India were inaugurated in Nepal. The schools were built using the grant under the Nepal-India Development Cooperation Project.
Sri Bala Janata Secondary School built at a cost of Rs 17.60 million in Lamahi Municipality, Dang and Sri Padmodaya Public Model Secondary School built at a cost of Rs 28.70 million in Ghorahi Sub Metropolitan City of Dang itself.
The two projects are part of an agreement signed by Nepal and India to implement high impact community development projects, the Indian Embassy said. Since 2003, the Indian government has undertaken 551 such projects in Nepal, of which 490 have been completed.
This will include 61 projects in Lumbini province and six projects in Dang. Apart from this, India has distributed 1009 ambulances and 300 school buses to various institutions in Nepal. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Neighbors First policy
